Have you and perhaps your friends developed a fresh new game title for the mobile market and are about to release it? Then you may want to think about the game’s marketing and exposure before it’s released.
Today I’m going to elaborate on the experiences I’ve had thus far in marketing our mobile games. Keep in mind that I will be talking about marketing a mobile game without a budget. There are a lot of people and new companies who cannot afford a decent (or even miniscule) marketing budget and the same went for us when we launched both Thunder BANG and Wisp.
Be advised: I am not an educated marketer, I am a Game Designer. Thus, my life as a marketer has been pretty much trial-and-error all the way through.
So let’s begin, shall we?
Hello folks! I thought I’d take a moment off from work while the programmer finishes implementing some tools I requested.
It’s been a while now since I graduated from University of Skövde, with a Bachelor’s in Game Design. That was back in the summer of ’09, when the recession was raging hot.
But what did I care? I had a brand new Bachelor’s Degree: proof of my abilities as The Best Game Designer Ever. All I needed was a job to prove that title. So with starry-eyed hopefulness I sat my ass down and started spamming every studio I could find. Not just in Sweden either, I thought my chances of employment would be a lot greater if I ventured out into Europe as well. The world was at my feet!
Well hello there! Happy Power Metal Friday and welcome to the new, improved and polished version of the Triolith Entertainment Homepage! The homepage has actually been up for quite a while already, but we wanted to take our time and work out the final kinks before officially calling it launched.
Now, surely we haven't had so much time on our hands that we've also spent it on constructing an improved site, have we? No. We aren't web designers (as was probably blatantly obvious with our old site) so we turned to some people who were. They go by the name of Davelo, and would you LOOK at this place! It's got structure, style, formatting, the WORKS! We're very pleased with what they have accomplished! Thank you, Davelo!
That's not all, though.
